Situated on the far southwestern tip of Africa, Cape Town is one of the most famous and top ten ranked beautiful cities in the world. Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the iconic Table Mountain it features stunning attractions such as the V&A Waterfront, Robben Island, Cape Wine Routes and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
Known affectionately as the Mother City, Cape Town is the oldest city in South Africa with a heritage spanning more than 300 years. Its unique character results from it being a melting pot of many different cultures and traditions. The result is a city with a varied and vibrant population.
Sophisticated and metropolitan, Cape Town boasts a bustling nightlife and miles of pristine white coastline with fabulous soft, sandy beaches. Experience diverse landscapes, warm climate, and even warmer welcomes wherever you go. It’s little wonder that visitors return again and again, with something new to discover each time.
Enjoy a day of varied interest with breathtaking coastal scenery as you visit the Cape Of Good Hope, the Cape Penguin Colony and the Groot Constantia Manor House.
First stop is a trip to the top of Table Mountain by cable car. Then, it’s on to the Cape Peninsula via the Platinum Mile, to the picturesque harbor village of Hout Bay – with an optional visit to Seal Island. Visit Mariners Wharf before continuing to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via the famous Chapmans Peak Drive. Take the funicular to the top of Cape Point for more sensational coastal views.
On the way back to Cape Town enjoy a seafood lunch just outside of Simon’s Town before visiting the Penguin Colony at Boulders Bay. Finally, stop off at Groot Constantia, the oldest wine estate in the Cape. Wander through the beautifully restored Manor House and enjoy a tasting. It’s the only way to end such an idyllic day.
