Depending on what you hunt, a successful kill provides more grass-fed, free-range, hormone-free meat than anyone one person could use. Game meat is praised as a healthy lean protein that’s more and more in demand by health-conscious.
As ethical hunters, we respect the environment and wildlife. Making sure nothing from a harvest goes to waste is the highest respect you can give. It’s not just about the trophy. All the meat harvested at Avula Safaris gets utilised in some way that ends up feeding or sustaining much more than just Avula.
The finest cuts are set aside and masterfully prepared to your exact liking by Avula’s chefs. Some of the meat goes to staff and their families, and some processed and sold. The bulk of the harvest, however, is donated to schools, feeding schemes and charities from surrounding local communities with which we’ve developed relationships.
Guests are welcome, and encouraged, to accompany Avula staff when they make these donations. It’s an emotional and life-affirming experience having the opportunity to improve the lives of those who it need the most.
